About Matthew:

Matthew McBride is a native of Jackson, TN, located in Madison County. He has been a resident of Beechgrove in Coffee county since 2016. Matthew was the 2003 4-H Congress Governor and the 2006-2007 State FFA President. Matthew received his bachelors degree from The University of Tennessee at Martin, with an emphasis in agriculture business and farm/ ranch management.

Matthew and his wife Amanda, alongside parents Mark and Carol McBride own and operate McBride Angus Farms. McBride Angus Farms was established in 2004 and held its first inaugural production sale in 2020. Since then, McBride Angus Farms hold an annual production sale each March selling bulls and females.

As a family, they are heavily involved in the operation of McBride Angus Farms, which includes pasture/hay ground, 400+ head of registered Black Angus cattle, and a feedlot operation. The primary focus of the business is producing top quality seedstock Black Angus bulls for commercial cattlemen as well as USDA inspected beef for private purchase in bulk or by retail cut.

In 2021, Matthew and Amanda purchased H&P Meats Processing plant in South Pittsburg, TN. From this purchase, they formed McBride Meats Co.

Matthew and Amanda have three children, Meredith, Joanna, and William. They enjoy spending time together riding horses and caring for their small herd of belted Galloway cattle. Matthew and Amanda are members of The Church of Christ and worship with the congregation at Ivy Bluff in Warren County, TN.

About Chris:

Chris Collins joined McBride Meats Co as a partner in early 2023.

Chris is a native of Murfreesboro, TN, located in Rutherford County. Chris currently resides in the Hoovers Gap community of Christiana, TN. Chris received his bachelors degree from Middle Tennessee State University, with an emphasis in agriculture and environmental sciences. He is a member of the American Gelbvieh Association, the current vice president of the Rutherford County Cattlemen’s Association, & a board member of the Middle Tennessee Beef Producers club.

Chris and his wife Nikki, alongside Chris’ parents Jerry and Julie Collins, own and operate Collins Cattle Farms. Collins Cattle Farms has farm locations in Rutherford, Bedford, and Coffee Counties in TN. The farm operation consists of 120+ head of registered Gelbvieh and Balancer seedstock cattle, pasture/hay ground, and a feedlot operation. The primary focus of Collins Cattle Farms is to provide to southeastern commercial cattle producers, seedstock genetics that produce profit through heterosis from the pasture and feedlots to the rail of the processing plant.

Chris and Nikki have a daughter, Avery. They enjoy spending time together on the farm and being with extended family. When not at the processing plant, Chris can typically be found working on the farm or at the local stockyard. Chris and Nikki are members of People of Hope Church in Murfreesboro, TN, where they enjoy volunteering in the youth and children’s programs.
